The benefits of digital network monitoring and control systems are widely acknowledged. Reduced cabling complexity, reduced installation costs and the desire to obtain increased levels of information from the plant have all contributed to thedevelopment and adoption of the technology since the second half of the twentieth century. With the introduction of its first Pakscan system in 1984 – designed specifically for valve actuators - Rotork has always been a pioneer in this field.
